Torr Head Scenic Route and Glens of Antrim Drive

Cross the Antrim glens and follow the Torr coastal road between Cushendun and Ballycastle. The smaller coastal route is the centrepiece, with steep gradients and sea-facing turns rather than a run into the headland car park.

Highlights along the way

Torr Head coast road

The scenic through-road climbs above the sea between Cushendun and Ballycastle; the headland car park is a separate spur.

Glens of Antrim

The inland approach crosses the hills before joining the coastal road.

Before you set off

The Torr road is steep, narrow and unsuitable for some larger vehicles. Use the A2 instead if conditions or vehicle suitability make the smaller road inappropriate. Check current road closures, vehicle suitability and weather before travel. Driving time excludes stops and live traffic. The route follows through-roads; all visits off the line are independent optional detours.
