Highlights along the way

South Loch Ness uplands

The southern-side route climbs through open inland country before reaching the wooded Foyers and Dores sections.

Before you set off

Some sections are narrow and single track. Use passing places correctly and keep them clear; the falls at Foyers require a separate walk. Check current closures and conditions before travel. Estimated time excludes stops and live traffic. Points are through-road references, not parking. Optional town visits may require a separate detour.
