Highlights along the way

Talla Reservoir

A narrow public road runs beside the reservoir before climbing towards the Megget crossing.

St Marys Loch

The A708 follows the loch-country approach before the circuit turns into the hills.

Before you set off

The Talla crossing is steep, narrow and exposed. Check suitability and conditions; reservoir shores and dam compounds are not public driving routes. Check current road closures, vehicle suitability and weather before travel. Driving time excludes stops and live traffic. The route follows through-roads; all visits off the line are independent optional detours.
