Severn Valley: Ironbridge to Bridgnorth
Link two distinctive Severn-side places on a short drive through eastern Shropshire. Leave Ironbridge, pass through Broseley and continue to Bridgnorth, where the river separates the High and Low Town. This is a compact point-to-point outing: allow extra time for a walk at either end rather than treating the estimated driving time as the whole trip.

Highlights along the way
The Iron Bridge and gorge
Make time for the historic iron bridge and its setting beside the River Severn. This is an on-foot visit using appropriate parking, separate from the driving line.
Bridgnorth High and Low Town
Explore the contrast between the riverside Low Town and the High Town above it. Leave the car in suitable parking and allow time to walk between the two.
Before you set off
The historic Iron Bridge is a pedestrian attraction, not a road crossing on this drive. Town streets and approaches can be narrow or busy; follow signs and allow for pedestrians. Park before exploring Ironbridge or Bridgnorth on foot. Driving times exclude stops and live traffic. The named route points are road reference points, not approved parking places. Arrange lawful parking for visits, keep junctions and passing places clear, and check current closures and restrictions before travelling. Road alignment, access and stopping places remain unverified until editorial review.
