Before you set off

Allow for town traffic, buses and narrow coastal sections. Beach, castle and forest access are independent optional visits. Check current road closures, vehicle suitability and weather before travel. Driving time excludes stops and live traffic. The route follows through-roads; all visits off the line are independent optional detours. This road-only variant uses the Comber and Downpatrick approach rather than the Ards ferry crossing.
