The A4086 climbs from Llanberis through a steep mountain valley to Pen-y-Pass, then descends towards the eastern valleys.
Before you set off
Pen-y-Pass parking has separate arrangements and can require advance planning. The road waypoint does not grant parking or mountain access. Check current closures and conditions before travel. Estimated time excludes stops and live traffic. Points are through-road references, not parking. Optional town visits may require a separate detour.
