Highlights along the way

Stiperstones

Public lanes pass the villages and ridge country; the rocky crest is an optional walk, not a driving track.

Ratlinghope

The valley below the Stiperstones and Long Mynd offers a quieter contrast to the higher roads.

Before you set off

Narrow lanes, steep sections and limited passing places make this a relaxed scenic drive. Check weather and road conditions; keep off forestry, mine and summit tracks. Check current road closures, vehicle suitability and weather before travel. Driving time excludes stops and live traffic. The route follows through-roads; all visits off the line are independent optional detours.
