Drive the core Kintyre 66 circuit down the eastern coast and back along the western side. The B842 supplies the slower coastal section before the A83 opens out on the return; promoted sightseeing spurs are kept off the driving line.

Before you set off

Allow extra time on narrow eastern-coast sections. Ferries, beach access roads and the Mull of Kintyre lighthouse road are separate choices. Check current road closures, vehicle suitability and weather before travel. Driving time excludes stops and live traffic. The route follows through-roads; all visits off the line are independent optional detours.
