Rannoch Moor and Glencoe Crossing
Travel north from Bridge of Orchy across the open setting of Rannoch Moor before entering the mountain corridor of Glen Coe. This point-to-point A82 drive offers a clear change from wide moorland to steep glen scenery. Keep the pace unhurried, allow for traffic, and choose any walks or viewpoints as separately planned stops.

Highlights along the way
Rannoch Moor
The southern part of the crossing passes an expansive upland landscape. Conditions can be exposed, and roadside stopping is limited.
Glen Coe
The A82 enters the dramatic mountain glen before reaching the village. Any walk or viewpoint visit needs separate parking and appropriate preparation.
Before you set off
The A82 is a busy trunk road used by coaches and heavy vehicles. Park only in suitable designated areas, never on the carriageway or soft verge. Check Traffic Scotland and weather conditions before travel; visibility and daylight affect the experience.
