Highlights along the way

Upper Wharfedale

Beyond Kettlewell the road follows the narrowing dale through stone-walled farmland towards Buckden.

Bishopdale crossing

The road rises away from upper Wharfedale before descending into the neighbouring dale, giving the drive its main change in character.

Before you set off

Narrow village approaches, walkers and farm traffic can slow progress. Do not use field entrances for photographs. Check current closures and conditions before travel. Estimated time excludes stops and live traffic. Points are through-road references, not parking. Optional town visits may require a separate detour.
