North Suffolk B roads
The B1116 and B1117 cross north Suffolk farming country around Laxfield, linking the inland villages with Halesworth.
Beccles
The Waveney-side town is a possible walking break near the northern end of the Suffolk B-road crossing. Riverside access is separate from the driving line.
Waveney
The Norfolk–Suffolk border country changes between open farmland and village approaches. The road is inland for much of the drive, rather than continuously beside the river.
Before you set off
Farm traffic, concealed side junctions and changing village limits need attention. Coastal stretches can be busy in summer; allow extra time for queues and separate parking. Plan this as a full day with breaks: the estimate is driving time only, and the journey to and from the loop is additional. Check current road closures, vehicle suitability and weather before travel. Driving time excludes stops and live traffic. All visits off the driving line are optional independent detours.
